Abstract: The establishment of functional areas for grain production is an important measure to ensure the national grain security and optimize the distribution of agricultural production. It will help to further promote the structural reform of agricultural supply side, and comprehensively implement the strategy of storing grain for the land and storing grain for technology.The Mufu mountain area, is one of the four main battlegrounds of targeted poverty alleviation in Hubei province. The overview of building the functional zones of grain production in China and Hubei province was introduced, the functional zones of grain production in the poverty alleviation area was studied, the tactics to build functional zones of grain production under the rural revitalization strategy and the targeted poverty alleviation strategy were explored.
