Abstract: With the urbanization process in China and the accelerated development of the urban economy, the land acquisition area of the grassroots government has also expanded accordingly. In the process of land acquisition and demolition, the villagers have a tendency to improperly profit or improperly defend their rights, meanwhile the government has irregularities in approval, unreasonable compensation, and improper methods. As a result, the legitimate rights and interests of the demolished are not effectively maintained, and the government's credibility is reduced. The government and its staff should strengthen their own institutional constraints, change the economic performance-led view of political achievements, continuously promote the democratization of the decision-making process, change the role orientation, incorporate the improvement of credibility into land acquisition and demolition, reshape the government's credibility, and guide the villagers' psychology and guide their rights protection correctly.
