Study on citrus farmers’ adaptation to climate change based on SOR theory

摘要: 基于SOR理论,利用秭归县王家桥小流域柑橘果农的调查数据,结合结构方程分析柑橘果农对气候变化的适应行为机制。结果表明,果农对气候变化的适应是经过感知价值和感知风险评估后采取的适应措施;果农对气候变化感知明显,其中果农对气温的感知风险达0.45;感知价值对果农采取适应行为具有正向影响,感知风险对果农采取适应行为具有负向影响。从果农个体的微观视角,探究果农对气候变化的适应行为,对于政府制定适当的政策、提高果农的适应能力具有重要意义。

Abstract: Based on stimulus-organism-response (SOR) theory, the survey data of fruit growers in the citrus planting area of Wangjiaqiao in Zigui county were used to analyze the adaptive behavior mechanism of citrus fruit growers to climate change combined with structural equation. The results showed that adaptation of fruit growers to climate change was an adaptive measure after the assessment of perceived value and perceived risk. Fruit growers were acutely aware of climate change, and the perceived risk of fruit growers to temperature was 0.45. Perceived value had a positive effect on the adaptive behavior of fruit growers, while perceived risk had a negative effect on the adaptive behavior of fruit growers. From the micro perspectives of individual fruit growers, it is of great significance for the government to formulate appropriate policies and improve the adaptability of fruit growers to explore their adaptation behaviors to climate change.
