Abstract: To explore the effect of salicylic acid(SA) on the growth and development of Zinnia elegans Jacq., “Dream” were used as the experiment material, the effect of different concentration SA on the growth and flowing of Z. elegans Jacq. were studied. The results showed that 0.5 mmol/L SA treatment significantly increased the plant height, biomass, leaf number and flower number of Z. elegans Jacq., while 1.0 mmol/L treatment almost had no significant difference compared with the control. In conclusion, the appropriate concentration of exogenous SA has a significant promoting effect on the growth and flowering of Z. elegans Jacq..
