Safety of Jinhuang Shugan stress powder on target animal in grass carp

Abstract

Abstract: In order to evaluate the safety of Jinhuang Shugan stress powder to Ctenopharyngodon Idella, healthy Ctenopharyngodon Idella were selected and divided into 4 groups for culture experiment： control group, low dose group, middle dose group and high dose group. After 3 weeks, the feeding and activity of each group were observed, and the growth performance, blood physiological and biochemical indexes were determined. The results showed that there were no abnormal changes in feeding, respiration, swimming and appearance. Compared with the control group, the average weight gain rate of the low-and middle-dose test group was increased, but the difference was not significant （P>0.05）, and there was no significant difference in weight gain between the high dose test group and the control group （P>0.05）. The results of blood biochemical indexes and histopathology showed that Jinhuang Shugan stress powder had no effect on the health of grass carp, and Jinhuang Shugan stress powder was safe for Ctenopharyngodon Idella when added to feed.
