Abstract: Based on the actual situation of Weihai city, the index system of land use and social economic evaluation is constructed. The entropy method is used to determine the weight, and then the coupling coordination degree model is used to comprehensively evaluate the coordinated development of land use and social economy in Weihai. The results show that the land use level and social and economic development level of Weihai city are on the rise from 2002 to 2016. The degree of coordination and coordinated development is also on the rise. The coordination level has risen from the slight lag of land use lag to the primary coordinated land use lag type. However, there is still a lot of room for improvement in height coordination. In the future development, we must not only pay attention to social and economic growth, but also strengthen land use management in order to achieve coordinated development of land use and social economy.
