Abstract: With more and more attention to the protection of water quality from the public, environmental friendly feed has become a hot research topic. The breeding experiments of five feed groups fed with environmental friendly loach feed, old formula loach feed, branded feed A, branded feed B and branded feed C were conducted to test the effect of environmental friendly loach feed. The results showed that the feed utilization rate, recapture rate, feed coefficient, fish/feed weight and weight gain of environmental friendly feed was better than the other four kinds of feed, which was significantly different to old formula loach feed, branded feed A and branded feed B compared; while not significantly different to branded feed C. Compared to the old formula feed group, the weight gain of environmental protection feed group has increased by 18.12%; feed utilization rate has increased by 21.69%; feed coefficient has decreased by 17.46%; fish/feed weight has increased by 21.39%; while recapture rate has increased by 20.79%.
