Abstract: To explore succulent plants’ hydroponic technology, hydroponic experiment on four species of succulent plant,Echeveria ‘Perle von Nurnberg’,Echeveria chihuahuaensis,Astridia velutina (L.Bolus) Dinter and Faucaria tigrina, was carried out, with setting up different water levels to induce rooting and 3 nutritional solutions with differed concentrations on the basis of Hoagland’s standard nutrient solution. Through measuring the index of plant roots and leaves, the influence of different levels of plant root and the influence of different nutrient solution on plant growth was compared. The results showed that the optimal water level for root growth was when the water level was close to the stem base but without reaching it. The Hoagland’s nutrient solution with 1/2 and 1/4 were more suitable for succulent plants’ cultivation and growth in water. Finally, some suggestions on comprehensive maintenance management of hydroponics were put forward.
