Abstract: Qingshan reservoir is one of the drinking water sources in Hangzhou, and the water quality is affected by domestic sewage, industry and agriculture. The distribution of algae in Qingshan reservoir from April 2018 to March 2019 was investigated, and the correlation between chlorophyll a and algae and environmental factors was analyzed. The analysis showed that the main algae in Qingshan Reservoir were green algae, blue-green algae and diatoms all the year round. Blue-green algae were the main species in summer. Algae were mainly distributed in surface water (1~2 m below the surface). Correlation analysis indicated that green algae, blue-green algae and diatoms were extremely significant correlated with chlorophyll a. Chlorophyll a was extremely significant associated with water temperature, CODMn and was a significant positive correlation with pH, and it had a negative correlation with ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, total iron, trivalent iron ion and manganese. Stepwise regression analysis showed that CODMn, nitrate nitrogen and water temperature were the most important factors, which influenced the concentration of chlorophyll a in Qingshan reservoir. The calculated and measured values of chlorophyll a have a good correlation (R=0.920,P<0.01).
