Abstract: In order to investigate the effect of cigarette ventilation rate on the transfer rate of phenylethyl alcohol and ethyl vanillin in cigarette filters containing alcohol and water systems, the content of phenylethyl alcohol and ethyl vanillin were determined by cigarettes with different ventilation rates and different flavors. The results showed that the release amount and transfer rate of the essence in the alcohol system were slightly higher than those in the water system. With the increase of the amount of phenylethyl alcohol in the filter, the transfer rate of phenylethyl alcohol showed an upward trend, and the amount of flavor added and the transfer rate showed a significant positive correlation. With the increase of ventilation rate, the transfer rate of phenylethyl alcohol in cigarette samples showed a gradual upward trend, and the transfer rate of phenylethyl alcohol showed a significant positive correlation with the total ventilation rate.
