Abstract: The arsenic(As) concentration in soil and As enrichment in rice (Oryza sativa L.)were studied under different flooded treatment using pot experiments. The results showed that As in soil solution mainly existed as As(III) and its concentration increased with flooded time for flooded treatment in whole rice growing (F).The As concentration was low and mainly existed as As(V) for unflooded treatment in whole rice growing(NF).When soil were aerobic and flooded for FNF and NFF treatments after flowering,As in soil solution decreased and increased markedly, respectively. At the stem extension, weight of rice was not affected by different flooded treatment. But As concentration was much lower in unflooded rice than in flooded rice.Grain weight in the different flooded treatment followed the decreased order of NFF,F,NF and FNF.As concentrations in grain, straw and empth grain followed the decreased order of F,FNF,NFF,NF.While the order of As concentrations in rice tissues from highest to lowest were straw, empth grain and grain.
