Abstract: In China, the Bradysia odoriphaga is the most important pest in the production of chives. Bradysia odoriphaga occurs in all leek producing areas, but the occurrence pattern is slightly different. The occurrence of leek maggots has been documented in the literature since the 1950s. However, it was not until the 1980s that taxonomists identified the Bradysia odoriphaga as the dominant group of leek root maggots. This paper comprehensively described the morphology and occurrence regularity of Bradysia odoriphaga, and described the control methods of agriculture, physics, chemistry and biology in detail, in order to provide reference for scientific control of Bradysia odoriphaga.
