Design and energy consumption analysis of NFT water and fertilizer integrated system

Abstract: NFT (Nutrient film technique) water and fertilizer integrated system adopted PLC as the controller and touch screen as the human machine interface. The system could automatically realize zoning and rotation irrigation of nutrient solution according to setting EC, pH and irrigation cycle, and had the function of remote monitoring. The practical application showed that the NFT water and fertilizer system had stable and convenient operation, and realized the circulation and intermittent irrigation as well as high fertilizer mixing accuracy, with EC control precision of ± 0.3 mS/cm. Through the experiment, the direct cost of Chinese cabbage cultivated by the system was 0.195 yuan/plant, and the average yield of Chinese cabbage was 0.118 kg per plant. The system meets the needs of NFT cultivation and irrigation in the greenhouse, and has certain application and promotion value.
