Abstract: ZD2040 was a new transgenic cotton variety direct sowing after wheat with good quality and early maturity, The breeding background, method and process of ZD2040 were described in this paper and also its main performance was introduced in detail. Furthermore, several cultivation key points of ZD2040 were summarized in order to provide reliable data or theoretical foundation for an extensive area production.
