Abstract: In order to study the characters of moisture desorption and absorption in different conditions, by using single factor test method, the change rule of equilibrium moisture content of lamina, cut tobacco, mixing tobacco, cut stem and sheet were studied in different temperature and humidity conditions, characteristic curves of moisture desorption and absorption were fitted. The results show that, with the increasing of relative humidity, different tobacco work in process showed increasing trend, the moisture absorption of cut stem was best, sheet was worst, lamina, cut tobacco and mixing tobacco were in the middle. Equilibrium moisture content of moisture desorption was slightly above moisture absorption. In the lower temperature and humidity conditions, the reduction of moisture content of cut stem was higher than cut tobacco significantly. In the same temperature and humidity conditions, the lamina moisture content of 5 cm depth was lower than the lamina moisture content of 10 cm depth, and with increasing of storing time, difference showed increasing trend. In a word, the influencing trend of environmental temperature and humidity on characters of moisture desorption and absorption of different tobacco work in process were same, after air conveying and storage, the moisture content of different tobacco work in process were reduced in a certain extent.
Key words: tobacco work in process, moisture desorption, moisture absorption, moisture content
