Abstract: In this study, three plant growth regulators, gibberellin (GA3), diethyl aminoethyl hexanoate (DA-6), compound sodium nitraphenolate, was selected to investigate its regulation effects on the growth of two useful algae (Chlorella pyrenoidsa and Scedesmus obliquus). The results showed that the optimum concentration of GA3, DA-6 and compound sodium nitraphenolate on C. pyrenoidsa was 0.4 mg/L, 0.1 mg/L and 1 mg/L, respectively. The optimum concentration of GA3 and DA-6 on S. obliquus was 0.1 mg/L and 0.1 mg/L, respectively. The compound sodium nitraphenolate presented no obvious effect on the growth of S. obliquus.
