Abstract: It uses the dried distiller's grains remaining after the fermentation of Chinese cassava and Lao cassava to produce alcohol. The batch biogas fermentation experiment is carried out under the condition of(35±1) ℃. The concentration is 4%. The experimental results show that the average daily gas production of Chinese cassava distiller's grains and Lao cassava distiller’s grains is 158.2,149.3 mL/d, respectively. The TS gas production rate and VS gas production rate of Chinese cassava distillers’ grains were 659,867 mL/g, respectively. The TS gas production rate and VS gas production rate of Laos cassava distiller’s grains are 799,1 080 mL/g, respectively. The average methane content in biogas was 50% and 51%, respectively.

Key words: cassava alcohol wastes, biogas fermentation, gas production potential
