Comparative Analysis of Growing Development of Different Turnip Varieties in Tibet

Abstract: The trial is assaied on the fresh weight of upper ground, fresh weight of underground, plant height, leaf length and width ratio, leaf area and relative content of chlorophyll in leaves of two local turnip(Brassica rapa L.) varieties in three growth stages of seedling, fleshy root bulge and harvest, which were collected from Nyemo county, Lhasa and Qusum county, Shannan. The results showes that there was a significant difference between the growth and development indexes at the same period of birth,of which the local turnip varieties in Nyemo county, Lhasa were better, and could be further used as the materials for the development and utilization of the germplasm resources of the turnip in Tibet.
