Abstract: Based on the data of land use in Linzhi county of Linzhi district of Tibet Autonomous Region in 2000 and 2010, quantitative analysis was conducted through the ArcGIS 10.0 platform to the land use data, and the Linzhi county in 10 years the land use changes was obtained. The results showed that during 2000 to 2010, a large number of forest land translated into grassland and cultivated land, resulting in forest area dropped sharply, and the area of cropland and grassland increased; Construction land had a trend of expansion; Water area and unused land area decreased continuously. It was suggested to strictly control the conversion of forest translate into grassland and cultivated land, and to ensure that the forest land isn’t reduced again; Construction land growth should have a clear plan, not only economic development but also to avoid the destruction of the ecological environment; At the same time, It was suggested to protect the waters land to avoid further reduction.
