Study on the Driving Force of Land Expansion Based on STIRPAT Model——Taking the Demonstration Zone of Industrial Transfer in Wanjiang City as an Example

Abstract: The development land area of the zone of Wanjiang City with industrial transfer(hereinafter referred to as Wanjiang demonstration zone) is calculated and analyzed,then the STIRPAT model and SPSS software are applied to quantitative analysis on the 6 driving factors, such as total population,regional GDP,second industry output value,third industry output value,population urbanization rate and per capita disposable income of urban residents. The results show that the land area of Wanjiang demonstration zone increased 1.82 times times from 2009 to 2015. The main reasons for the growth of land expansion in Wanjiang demonstration area are population,GDP,second industry output,tertiary industry output,population urbanization rate and the increase of per capita disposable income of urban residents. When these 6 driving factors increase by 1%,the land area of the Wanjiang demonstration area will increase by 0.303%,0.064%,0.054%,0.089%,0.124% and 0.184% respectively.
