Breeding and Characteristics of A New Elite Barley Variety Edamai 256

Abstract: Edamai 256 is a new elite barley(Hordeum vulgare L.) variety with high and stable yield,multiple resistance ability and extensive adaptability. Edamai 256 is bred through convergent cross and pedigree method by Institute of Food Crops, Hubei Academy of Agricultural Science. Source of parents,detailed breeding process,characteristics and cultivation techniques of Edamai 256 were provided, which would be the basis for the spread and application of Edamai 256 in agriculture.
