The Study on Viability and Conditions of Epimedium brevicornu Maxim Seeds

Abstract

Abstract: The variation of the activity of Epimedium brevicornu Maxim seeds was researched. The results showed that the activity of E. brevicornu Maxim seeds declined rapidly after 180 days. And it was basically inactivated after one year. The best condition for seed viability of E. brevicornu Maximis soaking for 3 h,and dying 50 min with 1.0% TTC. The germination rate of seedlings could be increased by soaking in water for about 3 h before sowing.
