Abstract: In order to clarify the benefits of multiple cropping under the different management conditions, the different nitrogen application rates and intercropping patterns three crops per year of sweet corn(Zea mays L.) were studied at the Meitian village Zhongluotan town in Guangzhou, and the economic benefits were calculated at the maturity stage. The results showed that the highest economic benefit of winter potato intercropping sweet corn was 29 217 yuan/hm2 at 5∶5 ratio, and the highest economic benefit of early sweet corn under N2 (225 kg/hm2) was 16 510 yuan/hm2. The highest economic benefit of late sweet corn under N3(300 kg/hm2) treatment was 30 477 yuan/hm2,and the economic benefit of one year was up to 76 204 yuan/hm2. Suitable nitrogen fertilizer application and intercropping mode are beneficial to improve economic efficiency and improve land utilization.
