Abstract: Taking the elderly volunteer association of X community in Zhegao town, Anhui province as an example, the subjective construction of elderly non-governmental organizations are explored from the aspects of gathering multi-cultures, democratic co-ordination of village affairs, organizing cultural entertainment activities and creating mutual support for the aged. On this basis, the problems of the elderly volunteer association in the process of participating in the village governance are analyzed, and the further development of the elderly volunteer association is puts forward.
