Abstract: A preliminary indoor and field comparative test of control effect of tea weevil(Myllocerinus aurolineatus Voss) adults was carried out by choosing various chemicals popularized and applied in domestic tea plantations. The results showed that the control effect of 10% acarbonitrile SC was similar to that of 5% fipronil suspension seed coating agent. The field control effect of 10% acarbonitrile SC reached 90.05% in 7 days after treatment. Organic tea plantations could choose biopesticide 1.5% pyrethrum EW to control the weevil. Its indoor and field efficacy were the highest among several biopesticide varieties tested. 0.5% veratridine SC also showed good control effect, which was no significant difference between the 1.5% pyrethrum EW and 0.5% veratridine SC in the field control effect in the 7th day after treatment, the control effect of 0.5% veratridine SC was 62.56%.
