Abstract: In order to study the characteristics of potassium absorption and accumulation in different flue-cured tobacco varieties under drought stress, pot experiments were used to simulate natural drought condition, and the differences in potassium content and accumulation between 2 flue-cured tobacco varieties Yuyan 13 and Zhongyan100 were compared. The results showed that the potassium content of roots, stems and leaves of the two flue-cured tobacco varieties was the highest during the peak period, and decreased with the increase of biomass, the proportion of potassium in the root system increased at the mature stage, and the proportion of leaves decreased. The potassium content and accumulation of leaves and stems of Yuyan No.13 at maturity were higher than those of Zhongyan 100; under moderate drought conditions, the potassium content of Yuyan No.13 and Zhongyan 100 was higher than that of the control, and the potassium accumulation was lower than that of the control; under severe drought conditions, the potassium content and accumulation of stems and leaves of Yuyan No.13 were higher than those of the control, and that of Zhongyan 100 was lower than that of the control. Under drought conditions, the distribution ratio of potassium in roots and stems of Zhongyan 100 increased and the distribution ratio of potassium in leaves decreased. Drought stress had little effect on the potassium absorption and its distribution in rhizomes and leaves of Yuyan No.13.
