Abstract: Using the land use change data of Chongqing in 1999—2008, using the equivalent factor table of China's terrestrial ecological service value, the change in ecological value caused by land transfer is estimated, and the impact of social and economic development on the value of ecological service is considered. The results show that the value of ecosystem services in Chongqing in 1999, 2004, and 2008 were 5,234,383,600, 5,493,479,600 and 5,525,143,700 yuan, respectively. The overall value of ecosystem services has shown a slowly increasing trend. The increase in the area of forest land and construction land and the decrease in cultivated land are the main reasons. In the two consecutive research sections, the value of cultivated land ecosystem services decreased the most, indicating that the development of construction land during urbanization has seriously affected the ecosystem service functions of Chongqing. In addition, from 1999 to 2008, the proportion of Chongqing's GDP to the value of ecosystem services is getting smaller and smaller, indicating that rapid economic growth is negatively related to the value of ecosystem services. The research results can provide reference suggestions for the government in making optimal land allocation and transfer decisions to ensure coordinated economic, social, and ecological development.
