The effect of slim cigarette material parameters on ammonia in mainstream smoke

Abstract: A mathematical model and model analysis were applied to investigate the influence of slim cigarette material factors, including cigarette paper permeability(X1), tipping paper permeability(X2), plug wrapper permeability(X3) and specification of tow at tobacco end(X4), on ammonia yield in cigarette mainstream smoke. The single factor effect and marginal effect were analyzed. The results showed that: ① the order of the effect of 4 factors on the ammonia yield was: X2>X3>X4>X1; ② the optimized material combination for low ammonia delivery were: X1=70 CU,X2=800 CU,X3=6 000 CU,X4=5 303.3 I.
