Abstract: The land use types were divided into six categories: cultivated land, forest land, grassland, water area, construction land and unused land, and the land use change in Liuzhou urban area, Guangxi from 2010 to 2018 was studied. The results showed that the main characteristics of land use change in Liuzhou urban area from 2010 to 2018 were the increase of construction land area and the decrease of cultivated land and other land use types. The main driving forces were population and economic growth, food production and policy factors.
