Abstract: Taking Yanxiwanlu ponkan in Qingjiang valley of Hubei province as the experimental material, the fruit granulation and quality changes of Yanxiwanlu ponkan at different altitudes were studied, the correlation between altitude and quality were analyzed, and the planting regional distribution of Yanxiwanlu ponkan in Qingjiang valley were discussed. The results showed that the single fruit weight, titratable acid content and TSS-Acid ratio of Yanxiwanlu ponkan were correlated with altitude in Qingjiang valley. The single fruit weight decreased, titratable acid increased, and TSS-Acid ratio showed a downward trend with the increase of altitude. In the southern slope, Yanxiwanlu ponkan was suitable for regional planting below 330 m, in the northern slope, Yanxiwanlu ponkan was suitable for regional planting below 370 m. Outside the appropriate range, the degree of fruit granulation increased with the increase of altitude.
