Conservation and activation strategy of traditional villages along the South China Historical Trail

Abstract: The South China Historical Trail is an important carrier of the construction of the Belt and Road, along which a large number of traditional villages are distributed. The conservation and activation of these villages is an inevitable way to extend the physical environment of villages and make them glow with new vitality in the new era. Taking Qiangang ancient village along the the historical trail in Conghua as an example, based on the analysis of the conservation and development status of Qiangang ancient village, the paper deeply analyzes the factors restricting the development of the village, puts forward some conservation and activation strategies, such as constructing the overall conservation and activation framework of villages and historical trail, digging the traditional culture of villages, promoting the coordinated development of industries, strengthening the endogenous development power, establishing the interaction and communication mechanism of stakeholders, and actively giving play to the main role of villagers.
