Advances in studies on rice false smut

Abstract

Abstract: Rice false smut is a fungal disease occurring in the late stage of rice. It has occurred in China and all over the world and has become one of the major diseases of rice. In recent years, a large number of scholars have devoted themselves to the study of rice resistance to false smut, and made some progress. This paper summarized the distribution and damage, the biological characteristics and the infection mechanism of rice false smut, the interaction between rice and rice false smut, and the molecular biology of rice false smut, so as to provide reference for breeding rice varieties resistant to rice false smut.
