Abstract: Hubei Province is rich in soil and water resources and has a vast grassland area suitable for the growth of pastures, which has the potential of developing grass and pasturage. Vigorously promoting the development of herbivorous animal husbandry plays an important role in optimizing the industrial structure, improving the utilization ratio of land resources and the quality of livestock products in Hubei province, and increasing the income of farmers. This article analyzes the situation and existing problems of the herbivorous animal husbandry and herbivore forage industry in Hubei province, and gives some suggestions on how to accelerate the development of herbivorous animal husbandry.
