Abstract: Jiangsu coastal beach is rich in land resources and occupies an important position in the economic development strategy of the coastal areas. In the case of reclaimed tideland in Rudong country and Yandu area, the paper analyses the economic benefit change of beach development under different types of agricultural land development and different reclamation time, with the method of investing the agricultural production and living conditions of farmers and data statistical analysis. The result shows that livestock breeding industry has the highest economic benefits, aquaculture industry takes second and Planting becomes the lowest in different types of agricultural development. The economic benefit of mudflat development and utilization of land decreases with the growth of reclamation time in agricultural areas and the newly reclaimed area has higher economic benefits than the old one.The land use efficiency of Jiangsu Tidal Flat needs to be improved. It is suggested that the development of tidal flat in Jiangsu should be based on planting and breeding industry and more attention should be paid to the development of livestock and poultry breeding industry,seeking a diversified development model. It is also proposed to increase investment in the development of new reclamation area,to optimize agricultural land use structure in reclamation area.
