Abstract: The experimental materrials 40 years old Camellia oleifera Abel. forest were collected from the altitude of 200 meters in Xiaotian town, Shucheng county, Anhui province, and four slope aspects were selected. To collect shoots and leaves of Camellia oleifera Abel., the content of holo-cellulose,cellulose,lignin and benzene-ethanol of shoots and leaves were determined to compare the difference of chemical compositions among the four slope aspects of Camellia oleifera Abel.. The results showed that the content of holo-cellulose, cellulose, lignin and benzene-ethanol in the shoots and leaves of different slope aspects were in the south>east>west>north. The inherent resistance of Camellia oleifera Abel. showed the trend of the south>east>west>north, which was the result of long-term adaptation of Camellia oleifera Abel. under environmental stress selection. Camellia oleifolia Abel. plantation is better be built in the south, southwest and southeast slope in order to pursue yield, and the south slope toward the sun is the most suitable choice for the seedling base.

Key words: Camellia oleifera Abel., slope aspects, chemical composition, stress resistance
