Abstract: Zhiliangyou Huangzhansimiao, a new mid-season indica hybrid rice cultivar with high yield and heat tolerance, was cultivated by Institute of Food Crops, Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Anhui Wuxing Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd. This cultivar was combined by the sterile line EK1S and the restorer line Huangzhansimiao. It showed high and stable yield, moderate plant type, lodging resistance and high heat tolerance in the field. In 2022, the combination was approved by the National Crop Variety Approval Committee.
