Abstract: The Artemisia argyi cultural system in Qichun, Hubei Province has accumulated the essence of traditional Chinese medicine culture for more than 500 years, forming a complete system integrating planting, processing and application. Through field research and data collation, its regional distribution, the characteristics of core protected areas and core protection elements were systematically analyzed, the prominent problems and endangered risks in the protection and inheritance of the heritage, such as ecological environment, industrial development and resource inheritance, were examined, activation and utilization countermeasures from six aspects including the protection of traditional knowledge and the cultivation of inheritors were put forward, and the construction of policy support system was combined to provide theoretical reference and practical path for the living inheritance and industrialization development of Qichun Artemisia argyi agricultural cultural heritage.
