Screeing Test of New Hybrid Maize Varieties in Jingmen City

Abstract: In order to identify the new maize （Zea mays L.） varieties with the high yield, stability, adaptability and disease resistance, the screening test of new hybrid maize varieties in Jingmen city was carried out. The results showed that the varieties such as Liyu88, Liyu16 and Yuanyu66 which were screened out with stronger growth potential in the seedling period, stronger stems, lodging resistance, good resistance to disease,good maturity, high and stable yield, were suitable for planting in Jingmen city.
