Study on the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of rural hollowing in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region

Abstract

Abstract: Taking 23 counties （cities and districts） in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region of Hunan province as the research area, the measurement framework and evaluation index system of rural hollowing were constructed from three aspects of land, population and economy. The evaluation index data were processed by using extremum method and variation coefficient method, and the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics and influencing factors of rural hollowing in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan region from 2009 to 2018 were analyzed. The results showed that, the main factors affecting the rural hollowing were resource environment, social economy, population, management and policy.
