Abstract: Based on the China Family Panel Studies （CFPS） data, probit model was used to study the impact of farmers’entrepreneurial behavior and different types of entrepreneurship on the incidence of poverty. The results showed that the entrepreneurship behavior of farmers could significantly reduce the probability of farmers falling into poverty. Even if different poverty line standards were used for robustness tests, the poverty reduction effect of entrepreneurship was still stable. Among different types of entrepreneurship, the poverty reduction effect of subsistence entrepreneurship was more obvious. Entrepreneurship behavior mainly help farmers get rid of poverty by enriching social capital and promoting non-agricultural employment. Finally, some suggestions were put forward, such as lowering the entry threshold of the rural financial market and further improving the rural land property right transaction system.
