Abstract: Taking the influencing factors of the urban-rural gap in Three Gorges Reservoir Area in Chongqing as the research object, the relevant factors affecting the urban-rural gap are searched through the field visits to 1,000 farmers and literature, and an Interpretative Structural Model （ISM） analysis of each factor was conducted. The level of action and mutual relationship of various influencing factors is clarified through ISM, and the countermeasures for narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas are proposed from the perspective of increasing farmers' income, namely, raising the price of agricultural products, vigorously developing secondary and tertiary industries, promoting the transfer of rural surplus labor, promoting the development of agricultural production, and attaching importance to rural areas.
