Abstract: Taking the family farm in Zhejiang province as an example, the data envelopment analysis (DEA) was used to select the input and output data of 193 family farms to measure and compare the operating efficiency of family farms under different business models. The results show that the scale efficiency of family farms is good, and the low efficiency of pure technology is the main factor leading to the low efficiency of family farms. The operating efficiency of family farms varies greatly under different business models, and the overall "family farm+market" model shows better operational efficiency; more than 70% of farms on family farms show an increase in scale returns; the relative redundancy of land, labor, and capital investment is the main reason for the non-DEA of family farms.
