Analysis on the nutritional quality of plant body of silage maize with different varieties and different growth stages

Abstract: The nutritional quality of silage maize with different varieties varied greatly. Zheng Silage 1 and Beinong Silage 208 were the best among the seven varieties of silage maize tested in this experiment. The optimum harvest time of silage maize was 30~35 days after heading. Silage maize planting in high temperature season(summer and autumn harvest) is not conducive to the formation and accumulation of nutrients, especially for the protein. Silage fermentation can effectively improve the nutritional quality.
