Abstract: Using three-dimensional pilot parametric discharge scheme to keep the basic parameters of the scheme unchanged.By changing the random parameters of lightning, the development patterns of different lightning under the same building (group) conditions are simulated. Then change the size and spacing of two buildings to obtain the data of different lightning under different building (group) conditions.Study the influence of building characteristic parameters on lightning activity with these data. The results showed that high buildings had obvious protective effect on low buildings, and there was a negative correlation linear relationship between the protection probability and the distance between buildings. There exist a critical protection distance:When high buildings are 300 m high, low buildings are 100 m high, high and low buildings are 50 m long and wide, the critical protection distance is about 100 m;The corner of high buildings can cause stronger electric field distortion,so as to lower buildings. The height of high buildings is positively correlated with the probability of protection, and the distance between buildings is negatively correlated with the distance of protection. In addition, this paper also gived a calculation formula of lightning protection probability for different buildings.
