Preliminary study on the planting benefits of rapeseed “one vegetable and two uses” in mountainous area of northwest Hubei

Abstract

Abstract: Three varieties of rapeseed（Brassica napus L.）, Shishancaitai, Shishan 2017 and Qingza No.10, were used as materials,under suitable cultivation conditions, three varieties were compared and analyzed based on yield, quality, economic benefits and other indicators, in order to provide theoretical basis for screening out “one vegetable and two uses” rapeseed varieties suitable for planting in the mountainous areas of northwest Hubei. The results showed that the vegetable seed yield of Shishancaitai and Shishan 2017 was higher than 180 kg/667 m², while the yield of Qingza No.10 was 151.7 kg/667 m², which was relatively low. Qingza No.10 vegetable moss yield is high, but the quality is poor, the commodity rate is low, Shishan vegetable moss quality is good, taste is good, Shishan 2017 is second. Considering the yield, quality and economic benefit, Shishancaitai is suitable for planting in the mountainous area of northwest Hubei.
