Evaluation of social and economic benefits of land expropriation in the Yangtze River Economic Belt

Abstract: Based on the economic and social data of the total expropriated land area, GDP, total social fixed asset investment, local fiscal revenue, and urban population of the provinces (cities) of the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2006 to 2019, the evaluation index system of land expropriation benefits was built, the social and economic benefits of land expropriation of the Yangtze River Economic Belt were calculated by hierarchical analysis and entropy right method, and the spatial analysis was conducted by GIS. The results showed that the land expropriation benefits of provinces (cities) in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2006 to 2019 fluctuated significantly. From 2006 to 2009, the land expropriation benefits fluctuated greatly, and from 2010 to 2019, the land expropriation benefits fluctuated slightly. On the whole, the land expropriation benefits in the Yangtze River Economic Belt were relatively low, and the number of provinces (cities) with low and relatively low benefits was large. The spatial differences of land expropriation benefits in the Yangtze River Economic Belt were great, not only among the three regions of the east, middle and west, but also within the three regions, and there was no convergence phenomenon of clubs.
