Abstract: Ezhi No.9 is a new sesame variety bred by Xiangyang Academy of Agricultural Sciences with Ezhi No.4 as female parent and intermediate material “97079” as male parent. It was identified by the National Agricultural Technology Extension Center in May 2019. In recent two years, the variety has shown the advantages of stable yield, good quality, strong resistance and suitable for mechanized planting in the field production. Ezhi No.9 is suitable for demonstration and promotion in Hubei, Anhui, Jiangxi and other sesame producing areas.
