Abstract: Yunyan 87 was used as research object to analyze the effects of different wood vinegar species on chlorophyll content, gas exchange parameters, chlorophyll fluorescence parameters, root structure and root activity of flue-cured tobacco under drought stress. The results showed that the application of wood vinegar under normal growth and drought stress conditions could improve photosynthetic efficiency and promote root growth of tobacco plants compared with the control. The photosynthetic efficiency and root activity of flue-cured tobacco decreased under drought stress. The application of wood vinegar could alleviate the adverse effects of drought on the photosynthetic efficiency and root growth of flue-cured tobacco. Different wood vinegar types had different effects, and peach-shell vinegar had better effect.

Key words: drought stress, flue-cured tobacco, wood vinegar, photosynthesis, root system
