Abstract: In order to select the advantage flue-cured tobacco varieties suitable for planting in Hubei province, HB030 and HB202 were selected as the experimental materials, and K326 and Yunyan 87 were used as the control, the plot comparison experiment was carried out in Lichuan, Xuanen, Xingshan and Baokang districts of Hubei province to analyze the advantages of the two new flue-cured tobacco varieties in the main economic characters and internal quality. Results show that the average output value of the new flue-cured tobacco varieties HB030 is higher than the contrast K326 and Yunyan 87 in four pilot areas, the average total alkaloid content of that is slightly lower than K326 and Yunyan 87, the reducing sugar content of that is slightly higher than Yunyan 87, and basically equivalent to K326, the average neophyt adiene content of that is higher than K326 and Yunyan 87. It is a good variety that can give consideration to economic characters and inne quality; New flue-cured tobacco variety HB202 can be used as a reserve variety in Hubei province, which is higher than K326 and Yunyan 87 at the average output value in four pilot area, and is slightly lower than K326 and Yunyan 87 at the average content of total plant alkali and reducing sugar, and is higher than K326 and Yunyan 87 at the average content of neophyt adiene.
