Abstract: There is an interactive relationship between tourism and urbanization have the relationship of hybrid interaction. Based on the response coefficient of tourism urbanization, this paper used the standard deviation, coefficient of variation, relative development rate, deviation, standard deviation ellipse and other index models to study the spatial-temporal differences of tourism urbanization response intensity of 16 prefectures in Yunnan Province from 2004 to 2019. The results showed that from 2004 to 2019, the absolute and relative differences of tourism urbanization response intensity in Yunnan Province showed a high trend, and the overall response intensity gap was large; the response intensity of tourism urbanization of Yunnan Province showed a significant spatial pattern of strong in the west and weak in the east. However, with the passage of time, the response intensity of tourism urbanization in the eastern region was increasing, and the gap between the eastern and western parts in Yunnan Province was gradually narrowing; the center of tourism urbanization was shifting from the western region to the eastern and central regions, and the direction was northwest-southeast. The aggregation was weak and gradually weakened.
